LOOKING IN FROM THE OUTSIDE

LOOKING IN FROM THE OUTSIDE

Looking in from the outside and everything seems perfect. Sometimes things are indeed as they appear. Other times, not so much.

Three friends are hiking and happen upon a bridge. Looking from the top of the bridge at the river below, the river looked blue and sparkling clean. Except they knew better because they had seen it up close and the river is anything but what it seems looking down from the bridge.

A what- you- see- not- what- you- get situation right there.

Looking in from the outside and everything seems perfect. Sometimes things are indeed as they appear. Other times, not so much. There's beauty and ugliness in nature but we can make the most of life's challenges and be rewarded for our persistence.

The trio continue on a map trail that indicated there was fishing and reach a cove which seemed perfect enough for fishing looking from the outside. They catch nothing after trying for a while. One of them observed that he was losing worms. Something is down there and I’ll catch it, he thought. He was rewarded with three small fish for lunch. The clues were there and he was persistent.

A situation in which things are as they seem looking in from the outside, I’ll say.

We may never know where the chips may fall at times. The unpredictability and uncertainty of life do make living an adventure though, because they can inspire us to seek creative solutions and birth brilliant ideas.

“If all the raindrops were lemon drops and gumdrops, oh what a rain that would be” may be a fun nursery rhyme to sing.  In reality though, it would probably be a boring existence if things are the same all the time.

We all can learn to look beyond first appearances, seek out clues and enjoy the rewards from our persistent effort.

Indeed, much can be accomplished when we stay on track. Yes?

There is a time to take the plunge. Check how bees get it. OF BOULDERS, BEES AND WALKING ON WATER!
