Planning the Perfect Trip? Here Are 4 Proven Steps

Planning the Perfect Trip? Here Are 4 Proven Steps

Planning that perfect trip can be a fun, and rewarding experience too if everything goes as planned and there are no nasty surprises.
A nasty surprise is finding out that a review is fake and a room had no window as the online photo suggested.  The closed curtain when pulled back did not reveal a window. There was some construction work on the property. I could go on and on. But I think you get the point.
Fake online reviews present a real challenge, don’t they?
Most of us, depend on reviews to make buying decisions.

Planning the perfect trip? Here are4 proven ways.

The proven steps for planning the perfect dream vacation.

Step 1. Watch out for vague descriptions and misleading imagery of holiday rentals.

Fish-eye lens photography must be the “worst” as they often make an image look a lot nicer and more panoramic than in reality. Planning in a rush makes one miss these misleading red flags. Take a hard look at the photos.

Step 2. Define what’s really important to make the trip a dream.

What does the dream vacation look like? How can one plan a dream trip? I would make a list of priorities, in their order of importance. Getting around easily, friendly service, low noise, and simple, yet stylish, are what I’d consider priorities and basics when planning.  Mostly, I wouldn’t sweat the small stuff. That’s why one needs to figure out what’s important and non-negotiable in the first place.

Step 3. Emailing is revealing.

For instance, sending an email to request a room that matches the image online helps to ensure that more care is taken with setting up the room and a pleasant vacation experience. The tone of an email reveals what is possible and the reception one might receive. This information can guide one to make the best decisions.

Step 4. Get help with planning and coordinating.

Travel agents have a lot of useful information to save time, and cash as well as ensure stress-free travel. You realize just how invaluable their services are at crucial moments like last-minute flight, or cruise delays, or even outright reservation cancellations. The horror!
At such times, things can quickly become complicated.

Conclusion

trips are fun experiences.

Planning the perfect trip or anything worthwhile takes time and patience.

I’d do my research every time. Even with big brands and hotel chains. Keep in mind that some may be a franchise so management styles are different across locations.

It is so easy to take the “you get what you pay for” stance, isn’t it? Big and pricey doesn’t always translate to great service and fulfilled dreams.

Do you see how far we’ve come? 2022 is almost over? Wow!
