What is Sustainability? Get Better Results With These Steps

Do you want to know what sustainability is? Do you want to get better results with living sustainably and building green brands? Then you are welcome to continue reading.
Let’s get right to it, shall we?

In simple words, sustainability is preserving, conserving, reclaiming, and limiting waste and pollution. Someone wisely said, we thrash broken things far too quickly forgetting that it took a lot of time and effort to create. Oops!

However, I would find that balance between keeping and cluttering. Or else that cushy and leisurely space can quickly become a nest for creepy bugs after storing so many items for recycling. No?
Er, okay, bugs have rights! But you get the picture hopefully!

Did you read about the team trying to capture water vapor in order to turn it into liquid yet? Cool stuff! We need clean water, free of chemicals and plastic pollutants, don’t we? What do you think of paper straws replacing their plastic versions? How can we make leisure and travel green and clean?

Typically, sustainable brands seek to meet present-day needs without depriving generations unborn of the ability to meet their own needs. Packaging, technology and operations are three key areas of consideration.  Do the operations harm the environment and deprive future generations? Translation! Good quality of life for all!
You and I want to be kind in our use of resources. We share the planet with large and small creatures, some so tiny, we need aid to see them.

Would you consider alternative forms of travel? What’s your best mode of travel other than flying? Train travel can significantly reduce our energy consumption. Not to mention that it can be such fun to travel by train. All that magnificent view! Yes?

Would you take along a reusable water bottle to fill up and have a drink rather than buying plastic bottled or sachet water in the effort to reduce waste?

Rothy’s, a retail company, shares a growth story. They use recycled plastic bottles as production materials for bags and shoes, thus, reducing waste from plastic. They took data into consideration. The data that every minute, one million water bottles are sold globally.

Experts agree that building a sustainable brand takes focus and may be expensive to put in place. But, it does pay off long term. We learn from data that products marketed as sustainable and Eco-friendly sold out five times faster than those that were not. Nice to know I think.

  • Forming the right partnerships is fundamental to growth.
  • Take data, case studies and trends into consideration.
  • Track the work processes.
  • Have a strategy that keeps waste low.

The savvy and smart think and do sustainability. Isn’t it smart to reuse, recycle and reduce?

How about taking steps to reduce adverse effects on biodiversity and sustaining life? ‘Small changes make big impacts eventually!’ To reduce adverse effects and sustain life on earth for the long term is a journey. Some folks are taking action. Bravo!
Taking one step at a time helps us to have a proper perspective towards the sustainable growth we seek.

Very insightful, Ashely Gray! It is a smarter way of living! We need to take responsibility for our environment, think a little bit deeper!

Another thing to help sustainability a hand: Bring your own bag (non plastic) every time you go shopping, instead of taking plastic bags every time you buy something. Specially at markets the use of plastic bags is excessive
