Uncomfortable is defined as causing or feeling discomfort. The uncomfortable can present opportunity for growth. What is your uncomfortable that will make you become the brightest you can be?  Perhaps, the train and not the coach. Our beliefs and the choices we make stunt or propel growth. There are stories of missed opportunities, and of opportunities being seized. What is your uncomfortable that will make you the butterfly rather than the caterpillar?   What is my uncomfortable?   Regret at the twilight of life, because of a missed opportunity. Oh and an unhappy marriage. That would be hellish too. What inspires you to live your best life?  Do better, live better.   Find us on Telegram,  https://t.me/joinchat/AAAAAE5OW7ab8N-Ep-__lg

We all probably know that unique child who can already swim, ride a horse and communicate eye to eye by the age of three. Right?  Well, Leonie while reaching out after a previous post, shared her experience with homeschooling. She takes her son along to meetings and business trips. They visit restaurants and interact with real animals. They go swimming, bicycling, horse riding, care for plants and shop for groceries.  He is exposed to a wide variety of subjects and at three, he is learning another language and is mature emotionally. Contact time is shared between both parents and is not overwhelming. Is homeschooling for everyone? Including career women? Leonie is a Personal Trainer and has her gym equipment at home. I suppose being an entrepreneur helps. Children learn constantly and are curious. They benefit the most from interacting with the world directly, the way no television, fancy toy or…

Well, who wants to be tedious and not have a vibrant personality? Have you at one time or another, been in the company of someone who left you miserable and dejected? Now, those are not feelings anyone wants to experience repeatedly. So it is safe to conclude that an interesting person is more fun to be around. To consider what makes a person interesting is in itself an interesting subject considering varying personality types. Can all personality types including introverts like yours truly be interesting? I find that interesting people share common traits. They are curious and learn about the world. They are unconventional, unusual, strange, if you will. They may have only a few friends but they are special. Now it takes courage to be different and to stand out. Interesting people delve deeply into a hobby. They pay attention to personal grooming. I think anyone can be interesting.…

What is charisma?   Dictionary definitions make me think charisma is a personal quality one possesses that makes one stand out. This quality is powerful and often inspires loyalty in others. A charismatic person stands out. A charismatic person influences. So can charisma be learned especially when it comes so naturally for some people? Is it like a skill one can practice, own and become better at?  Two qualities stand out for me when I really think about it. The first is listening. Really listening. Not looking around the room or picking up your phone.  Listening and remembering the details. Easy enough right? Some simple things can be hard to do yet it is in the little steps. Can we all be charismatic? I think so.  In our communities and in our interactions. Now, is it not helpful to know that some qualities can be learned? This makes me happy. A…

So I went hiking by the beach this warm, windy afternoon and as I watched the waves, I was struck by the majesty of the big waves as they hit the sand by my feet. Some waves hit the beach with a big splash. Now the smaller waves were no less magnificent and inspiring. The sea water made the waves. Everything kind of working together to make a splash that is so beautiful surfers and bathers are drawn in. When we work as a team, we each make waves. Working together, we all can shine and show off. Really! Oh and I was inspired to make this beach quote I want to share with you. KEEP CALM! NO LIFE LIKE THE BEACH LIFE. It is not too lame, is it? I could have it emblazoned on a tee-shirt. Okay, what should a person who hangs out a lot at the…

Can we chat about things we wish we knew earlier? Things for instance that could have saved us time and heartache chasing projects that were not suited to our values and personality. I wish I knew earlier that less is more and learning never grows old. Less is more means less clutter and the creative use of things and not impressing the Joneses for me. It does not mean poor and deprived. Permit me to illustrate with Moses and the children of Israel. God gave the children of Israel one type of food “manna’ for forty years, while they were in the wilderness. Forty years is a really long time by the way. Most of us probably think that because they were in the wilderness, the Israelites lacked. But something makes me think different.  Here’s what I think. They said to Moses in Exodus 17:3 when they needed water at…

Lexophile describes a person that is highly skilled with words.  Words are potent and evoke emotions. There are big words, small words, old words, new words, simple words, complicated words, annoying words, funny words and tongue-twisters. I want to share some that struck a chord. They are a play on words on countries, professions, food lovers, bookworms and humorous judges, and well, pun lovers can just gather here. I feel the authors of these puns that I share are geniuses of sorts. God bless ‘em.  Unfortunately, I do not have their names. I stayed up all night to see where the sun went, and then it dawned on me Acupuncture is a job well done. That’s the point of it   England has no kidney bank, but it does have a Liverpool I changed my iPod’s name to Titanic. It’s syncing now He had a photographic memory but it was…

I was ranting to my friend the day after a late evening walk. I wanted to see what night life was like on a Friday night after the lockdown had been lifted and bars had permission to open their doors to clients. I walked out around past 9pm just to see what folks were up to this Friday. I noticed that the couple of bars that were open had only a handful of customers, tops five. Others were closed. How could the operators stay in business? My walk took me to my favourite hangout place. Let us call it ‘The Cuban Hut’.  I meant to continue walking and taking in the moment as it was closed too, when I heard music from inside. I went round the back to see (usually we have Salsa, Bachata and Kizomba there) and found a few folks, less than ten including the deejay and…
