Planning the Perfect Trip? Here Are 4 Proven Steps
Planning that perfect trip can be a fun, and rewarding experience too if everything goes as planned and there are no nasty surprises. A nasty surprise is finding out that a review is fake and a room had no window as the online photo suggested. The closed curtain when pulled back did not reveal a window. There was some construction work on the property. I could go on and on. But I think you get the point. Fake online reviews present a real challenge, don’t they? Most of us, depend on reviews to make buying decisions. The proven steps for planning the perfect dream vacation. Step 1. Watch out for vague descriptions and misleading imagery of holiday rentals. Fish-eye lens photography must be the “worst” as they often make an image look a lot nicer and more panoramic than in reality. Planning in a rush makes one miss these…
It is in a Book!
It is in a book. That which you seek! If you have the drive to seek it. There’s often an answer in the fine print and a lot of learning in belles-lettres. It is in a book. For as long as I can remember, I have been drawn to unique literary styles and expressions. I read dictionaries and encyclopedias too when I was quite young. Yeah! I know! Nerdy stuff! I was curious about words and how to use them correctly. I still am! Some words are unusual. Art, stories about love, faith and adventure helped shape my world. “I have always imagined that Paradise will be a kind of library.” Jorge Luis Borges Well put, Jorge! All that was stored will have to come out in time, right? I truly enjoy writing. No surprise there! Maybe, because the things that take our attention, eventually manifest. Good or bad. One…
THROUGH THE LENS
Looking through the lens of a pair of binoculars can be such fun and feels so different when compared to our natural eyes. Images are sharper and magnified. We might experience beauty, ugliness, pleasure or pain at such times. JUDGING THROUGH A LENS We tend to make judgements by the external. Mistakes and weaknesses may be magnified through the lenses we use. “The people are giants. We were like grasshoppers in our eyes and their eyes” The Ten This conclusion cost the ten scouts an inheritance. They saw themselves as unfit to possess a good land through their looking glass. However, two scouts, Caleb and Joshua, quite unlike the ten, thought they could take the land and did so. We all have to look and draw conclusions from the images we see. Letting the glass define us though may be sort of like one letting a bird build a nest…

SOCIAL MEDIA REVEALS PERSONALITY Laura posts selfies quite frequently on social media. She shares what she eats and many other activities daily. These habits reveal a personality that is attention-seeking and self-obsessed. She may be cheered or shunned for her habits. I guess that depends on who is looking. PERSONALITY AND THE WAY WE TREAT OTHERS Dora says sorry, please and thank you. Her habits reveal a caring nature. People easily become comfortable around her. Her personality is endearing. NOTE TO SELF AND AN AHA MOMENT!
So I took this personality test. If you are curious and wonder about quirky traits that we as humans tend to have, then you are in good company. Yours truly is curious too. After responding as truthfully as I possibly could to the questions, I got the result and details about my personality. Being described as “creative”, “idealist and doer” was sort of endearing. Why dream and not follow through right? I sort of wondered about the description “perfectionistic”. Isn’t that like a scenario where one might always be seeking to get things right every time? The expression “there is something rotten in Denmark” implies that an ideal situation is not always possible and mistakes happen. Now that might be worth remembering. The personality test is fun to take and mostly accurate if you answer as truthfully as possible. Click the link below and maybe be pleasantly surprised at your…
